Can I add a temporary driver / car?
Yes you can add both a temporary vehicle and driver to your policy. This cannot be for anymore than 4 weeks at a time and you can only make 2 temporary adjustments for each period of insurance.
In terms of temporary vehicles you have 2 options:
1. Temporary Substitution of Vehicle
If you perform a temporary substitution the vehicle you are changing from will not be covered. The weekly cost of a temporary substitution is as follows

2. Temporary Additional Vehicle
If you perform a temporary additional vehicle you will be adding another vehicle to your policy so your original vehicle will also be covered. The weekly cost of a temporary additional is as follows

3. Temporary Additional Driver
If you perform a temporary additional vehicle you will be adding another vehicle to your policy so your original vehicle will also be covered. The weekly cost of a temporary additional is as follows

For both temporary drivers and vehicles normal underwriting criteria will apply and as a result the temporary change may not be acceptable.
You can perform these changes online and any the above premiums will be subject to a further administration charge if processed by one of our representatives.
The above premiums are for a weekly rate and are the minimum charges per transaction.
